Yesterday, Julia braved the tube strikes to join fellow mummy bloggers in London who were banding together to raise money for Sport Relief.
The brainchild of the inimitable Mummy Barrow and indominitable Mammasauraus, the Team Honk Relay is a countrywide baton relay that started at Land’s End and is making it slow progression to John O’Groats.
In keeping with the spirit of Sport Relief, this baton is being walked, run and swum up the UK. Each section of the country has been broken up into groups and each group has been given a target of £500 to raise. The London team alone has already smashed its target, achieving £2341 to date and Team Honk is already amassed £13,000 of its £20,000.
As the baton still has most of the country to go, we envisage they will comfortably make their £20,000 goal. If you’d like to DONATE, please do so by going to the Team Honk donation page or you can simply give £5 by texting HONK to 70005.
Here are some of Julia’s photos from the Vauxhall to Piccadilly leg of the trip. The London section was created around the theme of Honkopoly, which had the team visiting various locations on the famous boardgame.
They even met up with Mr Monopoly himself at Marylebone station (unfortunately, Julia wasn’t there at this point, so no pictures). But you can follow the journey of the baton by visiting the Team Honk website. Today, it’s in Fleet!
We at Boggio Studios wish the relay teams across the country the best of luck in hitting their targets and showing what mummy bloggers can do together.
