Creative photo shoot ideas: Part IV

Back to blog
Bet your bottom dollar (we’ve got photo shoot ideas!)

Last but not least, we have Annie. I pretty much mainlined this movie musical when I was a little girl and I even played Annie twice on stage. Aileen Quinn, who played Annie in the movie version, went to one of the other Catholic schools near mine in New Jersey, which made me feel almost famous by association. I feel like it’s only natural it was one of my first photo shoot ideas for bump no. 2.

Baby watched this movie during our June holiday at Centre Parcs for the first time…and then the second…and then the third. Let’s say that it’s on its way to being a firm favourite of hers, too.

These images have to be some of my favourites from the day, but don’t worry – the martini glass was empty! Since the shoot, Baby pretty much wears her Annie dress every weekend. You’ll be glad to know that I’m not galavanting about as Miss Hannigan.

We could have kept going on and on with this theme. Here are some other photo shoot ideas that were on the table:

Sweeney Todd (Mrs Lovett, Sweeney Todd and Toby)

Grease (Sandy, Danny and a pink lady)

West Side Story (Anita, Bernardo and little Maria)

Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey, Seymour and the Dentist or Audrey II)

Oliver (Nancy, Fagin, and Oliver/Artful Dodger

Legally Blonde (Paulette, UPS Delivery Man, and Elle)

I could seriously go on and on. Which ones would you have done?

We always encourage our clients to have a think about their shoot and take some time to prepare. It doesn’t have to be as wild as this 4 part shoot was, but you can certainly come up with some creative ideas for your pregnancy or family shoot. We’ve recently had some quite stylised and on the other hand, some natural newborn shoots you can have a look at to spark some inspiration if you have a little one on the way!

We had so much fun doing this shoot and I hope you’ve had a good laugh, too. Baby Boy Boggio doesn’t yet realise that he’s being born into an absolutely crazy family, but he’ll soon learn.

Special thanks go to:

Becky Seager for dressing me

Georgina Smith for making my dresses and quickly

Dominika Kasperowicz for the hair and make up

Veruschka for taking the pictures

My family for putting up with my crazy ideas
