It’s a Dog’s Life.

Back to blog

In May we launched our pet shoots at our Wimbledon Studio or out on location.  We have been inundated with families getting in touch with us to come in for a shoot.  We have had requests from families with rats, chickens, horses and dogs, to name but a few.

This week’s family of the week is with a gorgeous couple and their 2 beautiful dogs.  Hollie was their photographer and she spent a fun hour with them in the studio creating some stunning shots of them as a family as well as individual portraits of the dogs.

When asked why they decided to come in for a photo shoot at the studio Melanie said,  “A neighbour is friends with James and Julia and we have seen their beautiful pregnancy photos. Knowing that I am nutty about my dogs, they let me know about an offer on dog shoots. It just so happened that we had already been discussing getting some professional photographs done. When we looked at the website we were really impressed with the work shown so decided to take the plunge.”

It was also Melanie’s 30th birthday so it seemed the perfect time to capture their little family and get some great images to decorate their home.

Melanie and Lional came in for their shoot with CJ, who is a beautiful 5 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and Jed, a very cute 9 month old Patterjack.  Melanie said she was “a bit worried that the dogs wouldn’t be able to “perform” or “behave” in the studio setting, particularly one who is a bit nervous, but they both really really enjoyed it. You can see in the photos what a fun time they were having.”

Hollie absolutely loved doing the shoot and having a dog herself she was really good with handling CJ & Jed.  Melanie says, “They warmed to her straight away, which really helped to get great pictures of them. She was also very calm throughout so it was fun rather than stressful trying to get two dogs to do the right thing at the right time! It was good chaotic fun.”

CJ & Jed were absolutely gorgeous to work with in the studio.  CJ definitely proved Battersea Dogs’ Home’s slogan of “Staffies. They are softer than you think.”

“The whole team at Boggio Studios were friendly, helpful, talented and professional. We would really recommend them to our friends and family.”
