When booking in studio shoots at Boggio Studios, we often get requests for a ‘Union Jack photo’ or an I Love London shoot from families born and bred in the UK, visitors to our lovely city as well as families who have been stationed here and would love to take a piece of Britain home with them. And, let’s face it, after 2012 everyone just exploded with love for everything British.
As a Canadian living in London, I get it (being in London for the Olympics was enough to turn any Canadian to their colonial roots and desperately prove their British heritage. Phrases like, “Yeah, all of my great grandparents were British and I have a great aunt living in Middlesex,” were probably thrown around more than was really necessary).
Along with an obsession with Pimms, I’ve discovered a love for the game of Polo. Skilled riders, amazing horses, an incredibly fast paced game and not to mention a quintessential British summer social event– I’m hooked.
With one of the biggest Polo events in London coming up this weekend, Mint Polo in the Park at Hurlingham Park on the 7th, 8th and 9th of June, I’m excited to say that Boggio Studios will be attending, ready to capture all of the fun at our stall in the luxury shopping village as well as the exciting matches over the three day event.
Whether you’re attending ‘City Friday’ with the office, the always popular ‘Ladies day’ with the girls or looking for a wonderful day out with your children (yes, there are bouncy castles and face painters!) either as a first time polo spectator or an avid fan, it’s a weekend that is not to be missed.
