Wow! What an amazing first photo shoot I had for Julia Boggio Studios. Photo shoots should always be fun and Wimbledon Tennis 2012 certainly provided that.
Our tennis-themed Vintage Boudoir girls and I headed into town to cause a bit of mischief and promote our latest pin-up competition in Wimbledon.
After putting our wonderful models Emma and Zanetta through hair, make-up and wardrobe we headed 5 minutes up the road to the Wimbledon tennis.
We certainly caused a stir at the entrance gates with security but after toothy smiles and fluttering of the eyelashes we were let in. Even the coppers spared a grin for us.
Our vintage dressed girls got so much attention. They were a ray of sunshine on this otherwise rainy day. Everyone wanted to talk to them to find out who they were and what they were doing. Some even insisted on a cheeky kiss! I hope he paid his 50 cents (if not, we have his phone number off his t-shirt. Landscaping anyone?).
This is unfortunately the closest we could get to the tennis players, although I’m sure they would have enjoyed a good luck kiss from the girls.
I had great fun photographing the girl’s in front of ‘Murray Mound’ and we even managed to talk our way into Court 1 for some cheeky pictures. This security guard joined in the fun, too.
We then headed to the Ritz of Wimbledon, Cannizaro House Hotel, for afternoon tea in their beautiful glass-fronted restaurant.
What a magnificent cream tea they put on for our shoot. I managed to photograph the girlies with the cakes before they all got eaten! We especially loved the little rabbit-shaped biscuits.
Now we were all refreshed (and full) we headed off to Wimbledon Village to cause a stir in the local bars and pubs. And the girls again did just that. By now, word had got around that the ‘Vintage Boudoir girls’ were in town! The girls managed to get behind the bar in the Rose and Crown and on the roads, traffic stopped.
It really is amazing how far a smile will get you!
