For Father’s Day this year (it’s on Sunday 15th of June if you still need to mark it in your diary!) we thought we would try and get Dads into the studio to be photographed with their children.
We often have families organise surprise shoots and give Dad a framed image or gift from the shoot for the day – but there is something wonderful about including him in the whole process (if possible!)
Not being a Dad myself, I asked James, our Studio Director and Dad to almost 3 year old Gwyneth, why being photographed with his daughter is important to him (and being married to Julia, you can guarantee there are lots of great shots of the two of them together!).
“My daughter was born 3 years ago and, I know we parents say this all the time, but I can’t believe that it’s all gone so quickly! I take lots of snaps of the fun days we have out together on my phone, but the images that make me that take pride of place on my walls, are the ones that we’ve captured at our studio. I look at the image of my daughter as a newborn in my arms every day on my desk. She’s not that small anymore!”
This year, if you book in your Father’s Day shoot before the end of May, we would be delighted to offer £150 to spend at your viewing. Limited spots available, so be sure to get in touch with Charlotte on 0207 042 9777 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
