This weeks’s family of the week recently welcomed baby Eleanor into the family, becoming a very happy family of four. Eleanor visited our family photo studio in Wimbledon at eight days old for a newborn shoot with photographer Mirren, and she was the perfect little bundle during her first ever photo shoot. We photographed her big brother William as a newborn 3 years ago and he’s now a seasoned pro in the studio and helped Mirren to create some lovely family photographs.
Here’s how Eleanor Mum felt about the shoot.
Children grow up so quickly that we wanted to make sure we have a permanent record of some of our family’s key milestones.
We loved the excitement and suspense between the shoot and the viewing of the images as we wondered what the photographs would be like. I’m pleased to say we weren’t disappointed! The team are professional, creative and friendly photographers producing beautiful, high quality portraits we will treasure forever.
Mirren took our lovely newborn photographs. She was friendly and welcoming and extremely patient (which was essential when Eleanor didn’t always fully cooperate!) but most importantly for us she was able to capture some great moments making it very difficult for us to choose which images we wanted to keep.
The whole experience was fun, worthwhile and enjoyable.
A note from photographer Mirren
It wasn’t just Eleanor’s first time, as the newest member at Boggio Studios this was my first newborn shoot at our Wimbledon studio. It’s very special to give tiny Eleanor and her family beautiful images to mark such a special occasion, and I was pleased when they chose to frame the images for their home. I’m looking forward to shooting Eleanor in the studio again in the future – when she’s old enough to say cheese!
Family fact file:
1. How old are your children?
William is three years old and Eleanor is only one month old.
2. What’s the favourite toy?
William loves building things out of Lego. Eleanor’s first toy was a beautifully soft and fluffy stuffed sheep given to her by William.
3. What’s his/her favourite book?
For William, anything by Julia Donaldson is a hit although he is now beginning to like Winnie the Pooh too. We’ll have to wait and see with Eleanor!
4. What’s your top parenting advice tip?
Take it all in and enjoy the adventure!
5. Where’s your favourite family spot in London?
The gardens at Wisley are great for open space to run around in. They’re also very child friendly. We like looking at the butterflies in the glasshouse in the new year.
6. What’s your favourite kids clothing brand?
Anything from the high street really. We’re looking forward to picking out girls’ clothes this time around because there is definitely more choice than there is for boys!
