Today we introduce you to yet another beautiful family of the week. We met Emma, Frank and their little baby boy at Mermaid Retreat, where Julia took these stunning in-room portraits.
Emma explained that she found our Wimbledon based family portraiture studio through Mermaid Maternity Retreat. “I loved the work on display at the retreat and on the Boggio Studios website.” She went on to comment on how having professional family portraiture is important to her family.
“Great family portraits record a moment in time and have longevity when memories can fade. In particular, we wanted to remember the first few days of our newborn’s life. Having said that, no doubt we will go back again once our son is a bit older.”
“Genuine Passion for Their Work”
Frank and Emma have been kind enough to say that they would be more than happy to recommend us to their friends, describing their experience as fun, and relaxed. Emma continued, “The team is genuine and professional with a great passion for their work.”
When photographing newborns, it is often the case that we need the baby to fall asleep in order to achieve a number of posed photographs. On this particular shoot, Julia soothed the baby with a rain sound, played on her phone. According to Emma – “she has the patience of a saint!”
“On Tap Support at Mermaid Retreat”
Emma chose to go to Mermaid as it was a quiet place to recover after her Caesarean section. “I could get to know my baby in a setting with minimal distractions. A big attraction was the ‘on tap’ support and help, the delicious and nutritious meals prepared for me and ‘spoiling’ beauty treatments.”
She adds that the two most valuable assets she gained from her experience at Mermaid were rest and sanity! She would happily recommend the retreat to friends. “Go! You won’t regret it! The support was 24/7 and this really built up my confidence for when I went home.”
