Purple Dragon’s little brother is coming to Putney High Street
Putney, I am feeling very smug right now because I know something that you don’t know yet: you have recently been graced with an amazing thing. For just off your High Street, snugly sitting between East Putney tube and Putney train station, is Purple Dragon’s Little Brother.
What is it? I hear you ask. It’s a little piece of Chelsea, brought into your midst by the brilliant Sharai Meyers, owner of THE private member’s club for kids above the river, Purple Dragon.
Boggio Studios has been working with Purple Dragon for almost 6 years, basically since it opened its doors. It is an oasis for children and parents alike, providing top-notch creative activities for kids and a café restaurant for the adults. They even have people who will play with the children to give you a moment’s rest – equally, you can join in the play.
There’s a Music Room, an Art Room, a life-sized Doll House, a Light Room, a Cooking class room catering for kids and adults, a class room, a restaurant and the area’s best soft play and ball pit.
My one-year-old loves the Light Room, where there are life-sized mirrored kaleidoscopes for him to crawl into, as well as a light stick wall and puppet area. When he’s had his fill there, he likes to head to the music room to decompress, where he can bang on drums, be serenaded by live music classes or play the piano.
My six-year-old loves to blow off steam in the ball pit and soft play, which is cleverly hidden behind a secret wall (kids love the mystery of it all). Then she’ll wander into the art room to throw some pottery or create a Jackson Pollack before joining her brother in the music room for karaoke.
All this while mummy and daddy are enjoying a glass of Prosecco in the restaurant (or at least a fresh juice).
This all really needs to be seen to be believed, so call up the club and get yourself down there!
Here is my prediction: I think Purple Dragon’s Little Brother is going to become THE venue for unique and fun birthday parties in Putney, Wimbledon, Earlsfield Barnes, and Southfields. We are already looking at it for our daughter’s next party. Book now because I think it’s going to EXPLODE (think Flip Out one year ago – how many parties have you been to there???)
Purple Dragon’s Little Brother is a membership club and it’s totally worth it. Here are the membership packages:
Our all singing and dancing membership. Any time, any day, unlimited use of the club.
10 guest passes a year. Family membership – £208/month
All of the fun and games, as much as you like, any day apart from weekends, bank and public holidays. 5 guest passes a year. Family membership – £163/month
Just a Taste (or what I call the Rainy Day membership)
Pack of 10 family visits, to use any day of the week, whenever you like, within twelve months of purchase. Only £450.
I really can’t recommend this place enough. It’s the kind of place that I wish was around when I was a kid. But that’s okay, because I feel like a kid again when I go there.
So, in the words of Maui, Putney: YOU’RE WELCOME.
