Get out your Funky Moves this half term

Back to blog
Sign your little one up for Funky Moves Dance this October for a guaranteed fantastic break.

A Funky Moves class is no ordinary dance class. Differing from traditional jazz or ballet, their funky street style dance classes and parties are filled with great music, a focus on fun, fitness and having a good time.

Funky Moves Dance classes in London

Founder, director & teacher, Alice Thorpe, has recruited a truly fantastic group of experienced teachers who are young, fun and professionally trained. With all of the Funky Moves teachers having performed in music videos, west end productions and contemporary dance shows, they bring a fresh approach to dance and provide a unique experience for children.

One of the best ways to see if Funky Moves is something your child would enjoy is to take advantage of the holiday courses offered.

This October half term, Funky Moves will be hosting a holiday course in Balham that is not to be missed!

Dates: Monday 24th – Thursday 27th October 2016

Times: 9:30am – 12:30pm each day

Location: The Bedford, 77 Bedford Hill, Balham, SW12 9HD

Ages: 4-12 years

Cost: £95 + VAT for one child (£90 + VAT per additional sibling)

… A little of what to expect

The kids arrive and straight away are greeted by the Funky Moves team with colouring and quizzes to keep them occupied. They are split into 2 teams based on their ages and are introduced to their Funky Mover who will look after them for the four days.

The day is split up into different activities (arts & crafts, learning their dance, games, surprise activities) and the kids are given drinks and snack breaks throughout. Often, they will all come together at the end of the day, to show the other teams what they have been doing that morning or to share how their dances are progressing.

There is a real community feel and all the kids become part of the Funky Moves family for the week. The emphasis is on fun, friends and of course funkiness! You can have a look at some snapshots from previous holiday courses here.
