Family portraits are an important part of our history.
A first generation Italian-American from New Jersey, I moved to London at the tender age of 22. What was supposed to be a couple years abroad turned into a lifetime and I’ve now been here for 18 years.
I’ve always been a keen traveler and decided to go to South America for 6 months during the millennium, which is where I fell in love with photography. When I returned to the UK, I started studying photography on the weekends. I eventually left my job as an advertising copywriter to pursue a career in portraiture.
Boggio Studios officially started in 2005 from the second bedroom in my house. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to build my photography studio into one that is trusted by thousands of families across the world to take care of their memories.
An interesting fact about me: my Welsh husband, James, and I are internationally renowned for having started a worldwide craze in choreographing first dances at weddings. After doing the dance from Dirty Dancing at our wedding and uploading it to You Tube (currently at 10m hits), we ended up on The Oprah Winfrey Show, where I danced with Patrick Swayze. We have also been on Richard & Judy, BBC News, GMTV, and many more in the UK, as well as Sunrise TV in Australia.
We now have a beautiful daughter, who we’ll probably be calling “Baby” well past the time it’s acceptable.
