Giving back is a big part of the ethos here at Boggio Studios. We’ve helped to raise tens of thousands of pounds for charities and schools across London.
2014 was a big year for charity at the studio. First, we organised a huge photo shoot for all the models in The Show, which is Breast Cancer Care’s annual fundraiser at the Grosvenor. All the models, who were either survivors of breast cancer or currently undergoing treatment, came into the studio and were treated to a makeover and a dress from Lady V Vintage, who kindly donated an outfit for each of the female models.
The group shot of all the models together was a big hit at The Show and all the models said it was such a confidence-building experience for them. We look forward to working with the charity again this year.
Second, Julia climbed Kilimanjaro for Borne, which is a charity based at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital that does research to help prevent death and disability in childbirth and create lifelong health for mothers and babies. The group ultimately raised over £400,000 for the charity.
It wasn’t an easy climb (you can read about it on Julia’s mummy blog here) and Julia even celebrated her 40th birthday while she was on the mountain. It was a great experience and she met amazing people.
We have already started 2015 off with commitments to a number of charities to help them raise important funds. If you have an event coming up, please do get in touch and we will see if we can help.
